Creating entries without an internet connection
NotaryCentral's electronic journal works smoothly offline on the mobile and tablet apps.
Creating a journal entry without an internet connection varies very slightly depending on if you are signed in or not.
If you are signed out of the app, you will see an option to click View Offline Journal when you open the app. Tap on that and then click “New” on the top right.
Fill out the form and after clicking Finalize you should see the entry in the Offline journal list.
Once you regain internet access, log in, visit Journal, and tap Sync. You may need to click Refresh if the entry doesn’t appear immediately.
If you are signed in to the app, then just fill out a new entry as if you had internet connection.
Once you regain internet access, tap Sync.
For both cases, syncing is very important. Tapping Sync ensures your data is stored securely in the cloud, making it accessible from any device, and enables features such as exporting. Without syncing, your data remains on your device and could be lost due to app un-installations, reinstallation, or other factors.
